A good content plan is not a spreadsheet that is filled out once and forgotten. This is a working system: it connects the task of the channel, the interest of the audience, the resources of the team and the measurable result. Thanks to it, publications are published regularly, but do not turn into a stream of similar messages.
Below is a 30-day scheme that can be adapted for an expert channel, brand, online store or local business. It helps plan ahead and leaves room for news and live reactions.
Do not start with the channel, but with the channel
Write down one major business goal for the next three months. For example: receive applications for consultations, warm up an existing audience, increase repeat sales or build an expert reputation. Then determine the action of the reader after the post: save, respond, go to the catalog, leave a request or forward the material.
If a channel has five equal goals at once, content quickly becomes chaotic. Choose one main one and no more than two supporting ones. For each, formulate an observed metric.
Build a matrix of five types of content
| Type | The challenge | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Expert | Prove competence | Analysis, instruction, checklist |
| Dialogue | Get feedback | Survey, question, discussion |
| Trusting | Show people and process | Case, Backstage, History of Decision |
| Productive | Lead to action | Application scenario, selection, Offer |
| Navigational | Help settle in | Digest, fixed, answers to questions |
For most channels suitable proportion: 40% expert materials, 20% dialogue, 20% trust, 15% grocery and 5% navigation. It's not the law. If the store channel lives on new products, the product share will be higher; if it is media, the share of expert and news publications will be higher.
Spread out the month in four weekly cycles
Week 1 - acquaintance and diagnosis. Explain to whom the channel is useful, disassemble a typical problem, conduct a survey and publish a navigation post.
Week 2 is training. Give detailed instructions, short practical advice, error analysis and mini-case.
Week 3 is proof. Show the result of the client or project, the process of work, comparison of approaches and answers to objections.
Week 4 – Conversions and Conclusions Gather a digest, suggest the next step, ask the audience about priorities, and capture the theme for next month.
Five posts per week will result in 20 main posts. Leave the remaining days under reaction to events, short notes and rest. Regularity is more important than trying to fill every cell in the calendar.
Use a simple design of a strong post
The first two lines should explain the value of reading: a problem, an observation, a result, or a specific promise. Then give context, basic thought and proof. One post is one central idea. At the end, offer a natural action that matches the content: answer a question, save a checklist, watch a sequel or go to the service.
Don’t turn every post into a sale. If the call is not related to the topic, the reader quickly learns to skip the last paragraphs.
What should be in the editorial calendar
- Date and desired time of publication
- Category and purpose of a particular post
- Working title and main thesis
- Format: text, video, cards, poll or voice message
- Responsible and preparedness stage
- Target action and reference with a UTM tag if necessary
- Results in 24 hours and 7 days
Evaluate not only the views
Views show the scale of delivery, but not the quality of the contact. See the share of readings regarding the number of subscribers, forwarding, reactions, answers, transitions and appeals. Compare publications of the same format with each other: a long analysis and a short survey solve different problems.
Once a month, choose three strong and three weak posts. Capture the theme, first screen, format, release time and audience action. Next month, reinforce patterns rather than copy random success.
Frequent questions
How many posts per week do you post on Telegram?
Three to five content publications per week are enough to start. Choose a frequency that the team can withstand for at least two months without loss of quality.
When is the best time to post?
Start with a time when the audience is comfortable reading, then compare the first views and the final coverage in a few weeks. There is no universal hour for all channels.
Do you need to repeat the good topics?
Yeah. A strong topic can be disclosed as an instruction, case, checklist, video or answering questions. Repeat the semantic cluster, not the same text.
How do you plan for news that cannot be predicted?
Leave open windows in advance. If an urgent publication has supplanted a planned one, move the material instead of adding an extra post on an overloaded day.
Support the content with careful promotion
When the channel is decorated and it already has a useful database of publications, you can connect promotion and test the growth of the audience in small stages.
